MUDA reclaims encroached lands worth Rs.10 crore

Mysore/Mysuru: Resuming the operation for clearance of its encroached lands, the MUDA recently reclaimed encroached lands totally worth Rs. 10  crore.

MUDA, which had acquired 8.27 acres of land in Survey No. 275 of Hanchya village, had reserved it for a drinking water  project. But about one and half acre area of this land was encroached upon, following which MUDA cleared the encroachments and  reclaimed the land, which is valued at over Rs. 6 crore.

Similarly, MUDA reclaimed 2 acres of encroached land in Survey No. 28 of Lalithadripura village, after clearing the sheds built illegally on the said land upon encroachment. The value of this reclaimed land is about Rs. 4 crore.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of MUDA SE Shankar, EE Satish and other staff, according to a press release from MUDA Commissioner  Dr. D.B. Natesh.
