Mysore/Mysuru: A delegation of Congress leaders from Mysuru City and District Congress Committee, has lodged a complaint with City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar on Friday, demanding the arrest of Right to Information (RTI) activists Gangaraju and Snehamayi Krishna, for indulging in a negative campaign, by forging documents to implicate Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family members, at the behest of BJP and Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) party leaders.
In their complaint copy, the Congress leaders have stated that, the probe into the scam believed to have happened at Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has been handed over to one-man Judicial Commission headed by a retired judge. MUDA has allotted sites under 50:50 ratio to the CM’s wife, Parvathi, to compensate for 3.16 acres of land at Kesare belonging to Parvathi, that was acquired by MUDA. However, the RTI activists Gangaraju and Snehamayi Krishna, who have forged documents to support their claims, have been indulged in spreading misinformation against CM’s family through media and social media for the last 30 days, portraying that they have committed a bigger scam.
If they have any documents, they should submit them to the Judicial Commission, instead they are up against the CM to dent his image and also abusing their family members, with a Goebbels propaganda. Hence the two RTI activists should be immediately arrested, Congress leaders have urged.
KPCC Spokesperson M. Lakshmana said, Gangaraju and Snehamayi Krishna are the agents of BJP and JD(S) parties, and are indulged in swindling money through rollcall. If they continue to behave irrationally, Congress workers will be forced to stage a protest.
President of Mysuru District Rural Congress Committee Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar said, when CM Siddaramaiah started construction of his house seven years ago, these RTI activists had been moving Court frequently. But the judge quashed their application. They are facing six to seven cases and the Police should take this into account, he demanded.
