Multilingual patriotic songs singing contest on Aug. 25

To commemorate 77th Independence Day celebrations, Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishat is organising Mysuru District-level Multilingual Patriotic Songs Singing competition on Aug. 25, said Parishat Zonal President Dr. Ranganath. Addressing a press conference at Patrakartara Bhavan in city recently, Dr. Ranganath said, the competitions will be held at the premises of Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions in Saraswathipuram from 10 am on Aug. 25.

The competitions will be held under two categories — solo and group singing. Patriotic songs in any Indian                                       language can be rendered at the contest. Entry fee of Rs. 100 for solo singing and Rs. 200 for group singing have been fixed by the organisers. Those interested to participate may call: S. Subramanya (Mob: 94482-53359) or H.D. Vittoba, Devaraj Urs, Gayathri and Jayamala were present at the press meet.
