Murugesh (63), a JD(S) leader and a resident of Kattemalalavadi in the taluk, passed away following brief illness on Jan. 13 night at K.R. Hospital in Mysuru.
He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held on Sunday evening, according to family sources.
