Islamabad: Pakistan’s former military dictator Pervez Musharraf has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Dubai hospital where he is undergoing treatment. According to reports in Pakistan media, Musharraf’s condition is critical.
Musharraf left Pakistan for Dubai for treatment of amyloidosis, a rare condition which has weakened his nervous system, in 2016 and has not returned ever since.
Musharraf is suffering from cardiac amyloidosis (congestive heart failure), chronic kidney disease (high creatinine in renal system), excessive somnolence (hypersomnia), spinal injury and fracture.
