Mysuru: The Tri-monthly cultural programme of Surabhi Gana Kala Mandira Charitable Trust, featuring a music concert by Vid. N. R. Prashanth, will be held at 6 pm on Saturday (June 30) at Jayanagar Rama Mandira. He will be accompanied on violin by Vid. Adithi Krishna Prakash, on the mridanga by Vid. Sunil Subrahmanya, and on the ghata by Vid. M.R. Manjunath.
Profile: Vid. N.R.Prashanth is known for his innovative and explorative approach to creation and expression in music. Raga purity, discrete and measured use of gamakas, imaginative skills and control over laya are the hallmark of Prashanth’s music. Being a disciple of Vid. R.K.Padmanabha, Titte Krishna Iyengar and Neela Ramagopal, he is currently under the tutelage of Prof. R.Visweswaran.
