Music concerts by two promising talents at Ganabharathi on July 5

Mysuru: Ganabharathi is organising music concerts by two promising talents on July 5 at 6 pm at its premises in Kuvempunagar.

Vidushi Ashwini Satish will be performing between 6 pm and 7.30 pm followed by Vidushi Chaitra Sairam between 7.30 and 9 pm. They will be accompanied by Vidu. M. A. Jyothi on violin, Vid. Pruthvi Krishna on mridanga and Vid. Ajay on ghata.

A promising young artiste, Vidushi Ashwini Satish started learning under Vid. H.S. Nagaraj and continues to learn under Vidu. Dr. T.S. Satyavathi from the past 17 years. Ashwini is a rank holder in M. Music. She is also a ‘B’ graded artiste in AIR. She has performed in sabhas like Nada Imbam, Nadabrahma, Shanmukhananda Fine Arts. She has performed in countries like Dubai, Singapore and has won accolades from the critics. She is a recipient of Ananya Yuva Puraskar Award.

Vidushi Chaitra Sairam is from a family of musicians. She is the granddaughter of C. Rangaiah, a well-known composer. She started learning from her mother Shashikala Prasanna. And then continued under Vidushi Shashikala Venkateswaran and R.N. Srilatha. Now she is learning under Vidushi Bombay Jayashri. She has performed in many major sabhas like Music Academy, Sri Krishna Ganasabha, Naradagana Sabha and other places. 

Vidu. M.A. Jyothi is a disciple of Lalgudi Jayaraman. She is proficient both in vocal and violin. Vid. Pruthvi Krishna is a disciple of Vid. Mannargudi Eswaran. He has performed with many leading musicians.

A promising youngster Vid. Ajay is learning under Vid. Tumkur B. Ravishankar.
