Music and Dance at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha on Feb. 21 and 22

Mysuru:  Sri Krishna Gana Sabha has organised a vocal music concert by Rajagopal Bhagavat at its premises in Gokulam 3rd Stage on Feb. 21 at 6 pm. He will be accompanied by C.N. Thygarajan on violin, P.S. Sridhar on mridanga and V.S. Ramesh on ghata.

Rajagopal Bhagavat has a Vidwat in Karnatak Classical Vocal Music. He was initially trained by Vid. H. Venkataramu of Chitradurga and later by Vid. Sringeri H.S. Nagaraj.  He has learnt Hindustani Music as well as Bharathanatyam. A passionate singer, he has been honoured with “Sangeetha Swarna Bhargava” by Sangeetha Bharathi Institution, Hospet, “Sangeetha Sudhakara” by Lala Kendra, Davangere and “Nava Shruthi” by Nirmithi Art and Cultural Kendra, Bengaluru and many more.

Sanjana G. Patel, a disciple of Vidu. Mitra Naveen of Nada Vidyalaya, Mysuru, will present a dance recital on Feb. 22 at 6.30 pm at the same venue. She has given a number of programmes accompanying her Guru and wants to pursue dance as profession. Presently, she is trained to appear for Senior Grade Exam. A resident of Gokulam 3rd Stage, she is the daughter of Sandya Muralidhara Rao and is good at painting, flower arrangement, bonsai etc.
