Mysore/Mysuru: Sirigannada Vedike Rajya Samiti in association with Mysuru Sahitya mattu Samskrutika Pratishtana has organised a musical tribute programme for the Sangeeta Samrat Dr. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city on Sept. 25 at 4.30 pm.
Disclosing this at a press meet held at Patrakarthara Bhavan here on Sunday singer Vedanth Atishay Jain said that marking the second death anniversary of the veteran singer a tribute has been organised.
“There is no song SPB has left unsung. He is a university himself. 25 songs of SPB will be sung at the programme. For the past two months continuous efforts and preparations have been made to organise a programme like this. There is no entry fee to attend the programme,” he said.
District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal will inaugurate. Social worker Dr. K. Raghuram Vajapayee will be the chief guest. Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President S.T. Ravikumar and other dignitaries will take part in the programme, he added.
