‘My Ward My Pride’ cleanliness drive launched

Mysuru: Human Wings Foundation, under the initiative ‘My Ward My Pride,’ conducted a cleanliness drive at Kalyangiri Park, behind Venkateshwara Temple in Ward No. 34 here recently.

The drive was inaugurated by MLA Tanveer Sait in the presence of DRFO Govindaraju, Health Officer Dr. Tabbasum and Founder-Chairperson Shaheena.

About 250 student volunteers from MICA and St. Joseph’s College took part in the drive and pledged to beautify all the 65 Wards accordingly.

This is the 6th cleanliness drive by the Foundation which aims to involve at least one member from each household to actively participate in the drive which will not only benefit the household but also helps in creating awareness about keeping the surroundings clean.

The activities of the Foundation includes door-to-door campaign, distributing handbills on how and why to keep the surroundings clean,  phase-wise cleaning of areas, planting saplings and conducting street-plays among others.
