Mysore/Mysuru: The city based MyMUL (Mysuru Milk Co-operative Union) has appealed Chief Minister Siddharamaiah to extend Ksheera Bhagya Scheme to all Ashram Schools and to issue a direction for using only Nandini Milk products in all Government functions and events.
A MyMUL delegation, led by its President P.M. Prasannakumar, met CM Siddharamaiah at his residence in Sharadadevinagar recently and submitted a plea in this regard. He told the CM that MyMUL revenue is coming down and appealed for reducing the milk procurement price being paid to farmers by Re.1 a litre.
Responding to the plea, Siddharamaiah said that there can be no reduction in milk procurement price. He directed Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra to take necessary measures for extending the Ksheera Bhagya Scheme for school children to Ashram Schools as well.
The CM also sought information on the prices of MyMUL milk and other private brands of milk.
MLAs K. Harishgowda and D. Ravishankar, former MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah, MyMUL Directors B. Guruswamy, K.G. Mahesh, A.T. Somashekar, Umashankar, Kumar, Eeregowda, Dakshayini, Leela Nagaraj, Cheluvaraju, Om Prakash and others were present.
