Mysore/Mysuru: As a measure to contain mounting losses due to dip in milk and milk products sales and rise in output costs, MyMUL (Mysuru Milk Co-operative Union Limited) has announced lowering of procurement price of milk from farmers with effect from July 8.
In a press release, MyMUL President Siddegowda said that it has been decided to lower milk procurement price from the existing Rs. 26.50 per litre to Rs.25 per litre with effect from July 8. Maintaining that it is a usual practice to lower milk procurement price during the winter season and to hike it during the summer season, he said that MyMUL always stands for the welfare of farmers.
