Mysore Art Gallery to honour Geriatrician Dr. Pratibha Pereira

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of its monthly programme ‘Sadhakarondige Samvada’ (Interaction with the Achievers), Mysore Art Gallery has organised an interaction with Geriatrician Dr. Pratibha Pereira at its premises on Ramanuja Road in city tomorrow (Aug. 12) at 11 am.

Paediatrician and Asha Kirana Charitable Trust Founder-Trustee Dr. S.N. Mothi will be the chief guest. Gallery Founder-President L. Shivalingappa will preside. Senior doctor from JSS Hospital Dr. Shyamsundar, JSS Ayurveda College and Hospital Assistant Professor Dr. Ayyanna and H.D. Kote Government High School Assistant Teacher H.S. Sharada will be the special invitees.

Dr. Pratibha Pereira is currently working as Professor & Head in the Department of Geriatric Medicine, JSS Medical College, Mysuru. She has been instrumental in the development of standards for accreditations of Ethics Committee, National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). Dr. Pereira chairs the Technical Committee of NABH for the accreditations of Ethics Committee. Dr. Pereira has several publications in reputed National and International Journals to her credit.

She is also the Member-Secretary, CDSA-CCRE (Clinical Development Services Agency-Centre for Clinical Research Excellence) Office Master Health Check Area, JSS Hospital, M.G. Road, Mysuru.

Daughter of late philanthropist, art patron and industrialist K.V. Murthy and late Lalitha Murthy, Dr. Pratibha Pereira is known for the compassion she shows towards the elderly bed-ridden patients by paying house visits and providing guidance in palliative care.
