Mysore Bengali Association’s former President passes away

Mysore/Mysuru: Tapan Kumar Chakraborty (89), Founder-Member and former President of Mysore Bengali Association (Mysore Bangiya Samithi), passed away in city on Feb. 8 following brief illness.

A retired Senior Scientific Officer at Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), he leaves behind his wife Suprithi Chakraborty, daughter Sharmishta Chakraborty, son Bhaskar Chakraborty and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill, according to family sources.
