Mysore/Mysuru: S. Somanna (70), President of The Mysore Co-operative Bank at Gandhi Square and a resident of Doddavokkalageri, passed away this morning in city.
Somanna had served as the Corporator between 1989 and 94 besides serving as the Director of the Bank for over 40 years. This was his third term as the President of the Bank.
He leaves behind his wife, two daughters, one son and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources.
