Mysore Medical College’s Centenary Celebrations from Sept. 27 to 29

Mysuru:- Mysore Medical College is celebrating Centenary Year in 2024. In this backdrop, Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) and Mysore Medical College Alumni Association (MAA) have organised Centenary Celebrations from Sept. 27 to 29 at Platinum Jubilee Auditorium, J.K. Grounds, Mysuru.

On this occasion, alumni from all over the world are attending the celebration. Around 1,500 delegates are expected to attend.

On Sept. 28 afternoon, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be the chief guest during which eminent alumni starting from 1958 batch will be felicitated.

During the 3-day event, 6 Centenary Orations will be delivered by MMC alumni Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Dr. Paramesh of IISc, Dr. Kolar N. Murthy from USA, Dr. M.A. Shekar, Vice-Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University, Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Founder of SYVM and Dr. Prashanth,              Medical Scientist.

A Centenary Walk is organised from Mysore Palace North Gate till J.K. Grounds, during which floral tributes will be paid to Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar.

Dr. Kantha S. Jadav, first VC of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Dr. Chandrashekar Shetty and Dr. R. Chandrashekara, former VCs of RGUHS, Dr. K.R. Dakshayini, MMC&RI Dean & Director, Dr. M.A. Shekar, Secretary, MAA Trust, Dr. H.N. Dinesh, Executive President, MAA, Dr. H.B. Shashidhar, Secretary, MAA and Dr. Sarvesha Raje Urs, Treasurer, will be present.
