Mysore MSME Expo begins

The two-day Mysore MSME Expo-2017 and Fourth National Vendor Development programme, jointly organised by MSME Development Institute, Bengaluru, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, Department of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Karnataka, District Industries Centre (DIC), Mysuru, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA), Bengaluru, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru, Mysore Industries Association (MIA) and Micro, Small and Medium, Enterprises (MSME) Council, Mysuru, began at the Institution of Engineers-India (IEI) on JLB Road here this morning.

PWD and District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa inaugurated the expo. Chamaraja MLA Vasu, who is also the President of MIA, presided. MP Pratap Simha released a souvenir brought out on the occasion.

DC D. Randeep, FKCCI Bengaluru President M.C. Dinesh, KASSIA President A. Padmanabha, Vice-President R. Hanumanthegowda, MSME-DI Director S.N. Rangaprasad, Dy. Director H.V. Anandamurthy, MSMEC President T.D. Jayachandra     Urs, General Secretary Suresh Kumar Jain, Secretary S. Madegowda, DIC Joint Director    H. Ramakrishnegowda, MIA Gen. Secretary N. Satish and others were present. The Expo features more than 90 stalls. KSSIDC, KIADB, KSFC, South Western Railway (SWR), BEML, Automotive Axles, Spectra Tools, Surya Batteries, J.K. Tyres, Rane Madras, Sumit Bags, Jain Kaigarike, Canara Bank, SBM, Syndicate Bank, several financial institutions and many other public and private sector units have erected stalls at the expo, which features technical sessions about the promotion of industries, Goods & Service Tax (GST), Tally etc.

The event also showcases a variety of programmes under MSME and provides a comprehensive information about the challenges and opportunities in Industrial and manufacturing sector.

The expo will be open between 10 am and 8.30 pm today and tomorrow.
