K.N. Suresh Kumar is Chairman
Mysuru: K.N. Suresh Kumar was elected unanimously as Senior Steward and Chairman of Mysore Race Club (MRC) during the Annual General Meeting held at the Club premises yesterday.
The following have been declared elected at the election for the posts of three Stewards and two Committee Members.
For the post of three Stewards, there were six contenders out of which B.N. Cariappa (119 votes), K.T. Balakrishna, IPS (102) and G. Venkatesh (72) were elected. Other contenders Al. Rm. Nagappan bagged 68 votes, Y.P. Udaya Shankar secured 62 votes and G.K. Balakrishnan bagged 60 votes.
There were four contenders for the post of two Committee Members and Dr. A.S. Ajit Kumar Raj Urs (88 votes) and Jayaraj Urs (83) were elected. Other contenders D. Vishwanath secured 80 votes and L.N. Nataraj bagged 75, according to a press release from MRC Limited.
