Mysore Tennis Cup: Sehaj, Varunya bag titles

Delhi’s Sehaj Pawar Singh and C.N. Varunya hogged the limelight on the concluding day of the Mysore Tennis Cup AITA TS7 (U-12) Boys and Girls Tennis Tournament, by clinching Singles titles respectively here at the MTC courts on Friday.

Unseeded Sehaj Pawar Singh, playing an attacking game on both the flanks, scored a comfortable 6-1, 6-1 win over third seeded Karnataka lad Murali Koushal in the final which lasted for fifty-five minutes.

In the Girls Singles final, second-seeded C.N. Varunya, playing a consistent baseline game staved off the challenge put up by fifth seeded V.G. Kasturi with a 6-4, 6-3 win and annexed the title.

The prizes to the winners were given away by A.R. Alagappan, President, Mysore Tennis Club.
