Mysuru: Urging for fulfilment of their various demands which chiefly included UGC pay scale and regularisation of contract workers, Group C and D, employees of University of Mysore (UoM)staged a demonstration in front of Crawford Hall here yesterday.
Maintaining that A and B Group employees of the University have been granted UGC pay scale with effect from Dec.31, 2016, the protesters claimed that it was not correct to exclude C and D Group employees from UGC pay scale, as they too were striving as hard as Group A and B employees.
They demanded that the Government introduce UGC pay scale and also regularise the service of contract employees.
University Employees Forum President R. Vasudev, officer-bearers Bhaskar, Vinod and others led the protest.
