Mysore University lacks comprehensive booklet on all its departments: Prof. Naganna

Mysuru: Mysore University Library and Information Science Students Association (MULISSA) had organised a function at its premises in Manasagangothri here recently to launch the activities of the Association for the year 2017-18.

Inaugurating the programme, former Director of Prasaranga C. Naganna said that the Mysore University has 50 to 60 departments and regretted that no comprehensive booklet on them was available. He pointed out that the Department Chairman would have a tough time in providing details before the National Accreditation and Assessment Committee (NAAC) when it visits the University for assessing educational standards. He commended MULISSA for conducting regular meetings.

Head of the Department of Library and Information Science Dr. Mallinath Kumbar, Syndicate Member D. Nanjundaiah, MULISSA Joint Secretary N. Ankaraj, Secretary G. Girish and others were present.
