Mysuru -The appointment process of new Vice- Chancellor to University of Mysore would be completed by the end of this month, said Higher Education Minister Basavaraja Rayareddy here yesterday.
Addressing the presspersons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan, he said a committee had been formed for selecting the Vice-Chancellor for the University and the recommendations of the committee will directly reach the Governor, who is the final authority for appointing the Vice-Chancellors.
Later, speaking about the ensuing by-polls in Nanjangud and Gundlupet, Rayareddy expressed confidence of Congress candidates emerging victorious.
Taking a dig at BJP State President B.S. Yeddyurappa, he said that when Yeddyurappa was the Chief Minister, he blamed the UPA government for not waiving the farmers loan and with NDA government in the Centre, he is blaming the Congress government in the State.
Rayareddy said CM Siddharamaiah had clearly said that if the Central Government waived-off 50 percent of farmers’ loan even the State Government was ready to waive 50 percent of the loans.
