Mysore Varsity Ph.D awardees

Mysuru:   The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D degree in Communication and Journalism to Ravi Kumar Ganta for his thesis ‘The Role of Media in Weather Communication: A Comparative Study of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. N. Mamatha.

B. Jayashree has been awarded Ph.D in English by the UoM for her thesis ‘The novels of Manju Kapur and Anita Nair: A post-colonial feminist study’ [Guide: Dr. M. H. Rudramuni].

Ahmad Rezvan has been awarded Ph.D in Psychology for his thesis ‘Effect of parenting styles on identity formation and mental health in adolescents.’ [Guide: Dr. H.M. Ramakrishnegowda].

M.B. Nandaprakash has been awarded Ph.D degree in Physics by the UoM for his thesis ‘Studies on characterisation of polymer composites with inorganic salts and modelling of X-ray Data’ [Guide: Dr. R. Somashekar].

Nivedita has been awarded Ph.D in Bio-chemistry by the UoM for her thesis ‘Neuoprotective potential of the bioactivi molecules from the roots of decalepishamiltonii in Drosophila Melanogaster’ [Guide: Dr. T. Shivanandappa].

N. Usha has been awarded Ph.D in Botany by the UoM for her thesis ‘Studies on diversity of Basidiomycetes from Western Ghats of Karnataka and bio-prospecting for bioactive compound.’  [Guide: Dr. G.R. Janardhan].
