Mysore/Mysuru: Saraswathipuram Police, who are investigating the death of Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) Officer D.K. Dinesh Kumar (50), who had died under mysterious circumstances at his residence near Nirmithi Kendra in Bogadi 2nd Stage here recently, have sought the help from the members of the District Child Welfare Committee (CWC), who held counselling with the deceased officer’s younger son at the private hospital.
The deceased officer’s younger son and wife have been admitted to a private hospital in city ever since the incident came to light.
In their statements given to the Police, deceased Dinesh’s son and wife had stated that all the three had their dinner on Sunday (Nov. 27) night and slept. When she and her son got up the next morning, they found Dinesh in an unconscious state and they too fell unconscious.
The workers at Dinesh’s house shifted Dinesh to a private hospital, where the doctors declared him dead and the body was later shifted to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.
But the doctors who examined the body of Dinesh, opined that the death may have taken place about one-and-a-half days ago as the body was bloated, blood had oozed out from the mouth and was decomposing.
Saraswathipuram Police, in a bid to know the real facts sought counselling of Dinesh’s younger son with the help of CWC members and accordingly, the CWC members held counselling with the boy at the private hospital yesterday, but the boy stuck to the statement he had given to the Police on the first day.
Meanwhile, the Police have sought the help from Psychiatrists of K.R. Hospital, who will counsel Dinesh’s wife at the private hospital today.
Meanwhile, the Police are awaiting post-mortem and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reports. It is learnt that the reports would take two more days to reach the Police.
The Police will decide their future course of action only after receiving the FSL and post- mortem reports.
