Mysore/Mysuru: Alanahalli Police have taken a man into custody for interrogation following the death of his wife under mysterious circumstances on Tuesday and complaint from the deceased’s father.
The deceased has been identified as Netravathi (35), wife of Harsha, resident of Giridarshini Layout in city. The body of Netravathi was found with a saree tied around her neck.
A native of Nanjangud, Netravathi was given in marriage to Harsha of Halagur in Malavalli taluk and the couple has a 11-year-old daughter. While Netravathi was staying in a rented house at Giridarshini Layout along with her daughter and working at a garment factory in Metagalli here, her husband Harsha is working as an Office boy in Bengaluru and used to come to Mysuru now and then.
In his complaint, Netravathi’s father has accused Harsha of assaulting Netravathi on Tuesday besides strangulating her to death. Based on the complaint, Alanahalli Police have registered a murder case, taken Harsha into custody and interrogating him.
