Mysurean elected as Fellow of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. J. Sudisha of Mysuru has been elected as Fellow of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FNAAS), India. 

He completed his Ph.D in Biotechnology from University of Mysore, under the supervision of Prof. H. Shekar Shetty.  Currently he is working as Assistant Professor at Karnatak University, Dharwad, where his research is focused on Molecular Plant Pathology. 

He is also the recipient of several International and National awards including International award for Young Agricultural Researcher, Government of Japan, Fellow of the National Academy of Biological Sciences (FNABS), AMI – Young Scientist Award, Prof. H.C. Dube Outstanding Young Scientist Award and Pesticide India Award. He has published more than 87 research articles in reputed international journals and holds one patent. 

Recently, Dr. Sudisha was rewarded with prestigious “Bridge Fellow” by the Govt. of Japan to conduct research on plant signalling for defense. He is the son of Jogaiah and Jayamma, residents of Kuvempunagar, Mysuru.
