Nanjangud: A businessman from Mysuru, unable to bear the harassment of financiers, has allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at a room of a lodge on Angadi Beedhi in Nanjangud yesterday.
The deceased is Ramesh (45), son of Dasegowda and a resident of T.K. Layout in Mysuru.
As Ramesh did not come out of the room even in the evening, the staff of the lodge checked the room and found Ramesh hanging and informed the Police.
Nanjangud Circle Inspector Shekar and staff rushed to the spot and conducted mahazar.
Circle Inspector Shekar, speaking to SOM said that during preliminary investigation they came to know that Ramesh was into liquor trade and had taken loans from private financiers and was unable to repay the loans, which had led him to take the extreme step.
The body was shifted to the Taluk Hospital mortuary where post-mortem was conducted today and the body was later handed over to the family members.
Nanjangud Town Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
