Distributes Rs. 2 lakh among the poor
Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru District Savitha Samaja General Secretary Harish has become a role model for others by holding his daughter’s marriage in simple manner. He also distributed Rs. 2 lakh, saved for this memorable event, among poor people.
Harish couple, residents of Tilaknagar, had arranged the marriage of their daughter H. Chitra Suman with Bharath Kumar. They had planned to spend Rs. 2 lakh on marriage. However, understanding the plight of the common people due to Corona crisis, the couple distributed Rs. 5,000 each to 40 persons. The marriage was held at the bride’s house in Tilaknagar last week. This noble act of Harish has won the accolades from many people.
Mysuru District Savitha Samaja President H.R. Nagesh, who distributed money to poor families, said the State Government during last year lockdown had given Rs 5,000 to around 50,000 persons belonging to Savitha Samaja. Still around 1.5 lakh people were left out.
Now, the Government has clamped total lockdown to check Corona and the Salon shop owners were again facing financial crisis due to the closure of shops. It was the wish of every parent to celebrate the marriage of their sons or daughters in grand scale but the Corona crisis has prevented it, he added.
Arya Nayanaja Kshatriya Telugu Reddy Association Vice-President Guruprasad and community leaders Shivanna, Vishwanath, Raju Reddy, Sadananda, Nadanahalli Mahesh and others were present.
