Mysuru: Artz Gallery has organised Mysuru Traditional Paintings Exhibition and Workshop by artist M.S. Anand from Sept. 28 to Oct. 28 at the art gallery in Gokulam.
Dr. Laxmansing R. Rathod, Head, Applied Art and Painting Department, CAVA, inaugurated the exhibition. Principal of Sri Kalaniketana Arts College K.C. Mahadeva Shetty was the chief guest.
The art gallery is open for public from 11 am to 7 pm.
Artist’s Profile: M.S. Anand, a well known name in the artist circle of Mysuru, trained himself initially in Tanjore Painting from the esteemed Kumararajah Muthiah School of Traditional Art, Chennai and then secured professional degree from CAVA, Mysuru.
This paved the way for his career as a commercial artist. He developed liking for traditional Mysore Painting art form from the last 23 years. His favourite paintings are Goddess Chamundeshwari and Vishwarupam of God Vishnu.
His work at the Bengaluru International Airport is one of the largest Mysore Painting in the world.
