Mysore Kabbadi Sports Club will be conducting ‘Mysuru Pro Kabbadi League Mysuru Wadiyar Cup’ at J.K. Ground from August 26 to 29. The tournament will have eight teams taking part. The bidding for the players will be held on Aug. 6.
Addressing the press persons at the Pathrakarthara Bhavan yesterday, former Mayor Purushotham, who is also the Honorary President of the Club said that the tournament was being organised to encourage kabbadi players across Mysuru. “Promising players from Mysuru division including from districts like Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Mysuru, Hassan and Kodagu will go under the hammer on Aug 6. Each team will be given maximum purse of Rs. one lakh for the bidding.
The winners will take home a cash prize of Rs. one lakh and attractive trophy. The runner-up and the third place winners will receive Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 cash prize respectively. The matches, played under the floodlights, will begin from 4.30 pm every day.
