Mysore/Mysuru: After reporting a record 52 COVID-19 positive cases yesterday, Mysuru reported 16 positives this morning. With this, the cumulative number of positive cases in Mysuru has gone up to 338. The total number of active cases stands at 143.
Today’s numbers of positives and other details have to be confirmed by Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar in his daily media update today evening. In today’s report, the Circle Inspector of H.D. Kote Town Police Station has contracted the disease.
Yesterday, 13 patients have been cured and discharged from the hospital and the total patients discharged stands at 191. Three patients have lost their lives so far.
Today’s cases have been reported from RBI Mysuru, Saibaba Temple at Agrahara, Cauvery Circle, Water Tank Road in Hootagalli, three cases from Ramakrishnanagar, Siddhartha Layout, Alanahalli, Lalitha Mahal Nagar, Saligrama in K.R. Nagar, Kethupura on T. Narasipur-Mysuru Road and one case each from Udayagiri and Mandi Mohalla.
Of the persons tested positive today, one person has a travel history of Hyderabad and six are primary contacts of the patients who have tested positive earlier. One among them is a surgery patient from a private hospital. Of the total 16 cases, only four were symptomatic and the remaining 12 were asymptomatic. Today’s list of positives includes a six-year-old girl.
