Mysuru SP and DCP transferred

Mysore/Mysuru: In a major reshuffle, the State  Government on Wednesday transferred 12 IPS Officers including Mysuru Superintendent of Police (SP) C.B. Ryshyanth and city Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda. The transfer of two top Police Officers of the district comes just four days after the transfer of  IAS Officers Rohini Sindhuri, who was Mysuru DC and Shilpa Nag, who was the MCC Commissioner.

Ryshyanth, who was serving as SP of Mysuru district since June 2019, has now been transferred and posted as Davanagere SP while Mysuru DCP (Law and Order) Dr. Prakash Gowda has been transferred and posted as SP of Internal Security Division (ISD) at Bengaluru.

R. Chethan, a 2010 batch IPS Officer of Karnataka cadre, who was serving as SP of Coastal Security Police at Udupi, is the new Mysuru SP while Pradeep Gunti, a 2016 batch IPS Officer, who was serving at ISD, Bengaluru, has been posted as the new Mysuru DCP (Law and Order).

In other transfers, Ravi Channannavar, who was SP Bengaluru (Rural), has been transferred as SP, CID while K. Vamsi Krishna, who was serving as Tumakuru SP, has been posted as the new Bengaluru (Rural) SP. Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad is the new Tumakuru SP while Dekka Kishore Babu is the new Kolar SP and Hanumantharaya is the new Haveri SP.
