Mysuru swimmers win medals at Natl. Meet

Mysuru: Three swimmers from Mysuru have excelled at the National-level Swimming events held recently.

N. Harika of PM Sri Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Mysuru, won 3 medals (1 silver and 2 bronze) in swimming competition of the 53rd National Sports Meet of  Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) held in New Delhi.

She competed in the under-14 girls category and bagged a silver medal in 200m Breaststroke and bronze medals in 100m Breaststroke and 4x100m Medley Relay. She has now been selected for School Games Federation of India (SGFI).

R. Saanvi of DAV Public School, Mysuru, won 3 silver medals and Krithick P. Vedesh of Excel Public School, Mysuru, won 1 silver medal in the 1st Short Course South Zone Swimming Championship, organised by Karnataka Swimming Association, at Mandya recently.

Saanvi secured silver medals in 100m Butterfly, 200m Freestyle and 400m Freestyle, while Krithick bagged silver in 100m Butterfly in Group-III (U-11) category.

All the three swimmers are trained under Chief Coach Pavan Kumar at Global Sports Association (GSA) at Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Swimming Pool in J.P. Nagar, Mysuru.
