Mysuru teams have emerged overall champions in various categories in the ninth State-Level Cycle Polo championship organised by the Karnataka State Cycle Polo Association.
The competitions were held on Wednesday last at the Coffee Board grounds in Manasagangothri campus. In the Sub-Junior Boys category the Mysuru team was placed first when they defeated the Bengaluru team who had to be satisfied with the second place and the third place was also bagged by Bengaluru team.
In the Junior Boys category, once again the Mysuru boys were the champions, while Mandya was placed second and Chamarajanagar third. Even in the Senior Boys Category, Mysuru boys were to the fore, as, Manyda and Bengaluru, were placed second and third respectively.
In the Sub-Junior Girls category, Mandya girls scored over Mysuru and the latter had to be satisfied with the second place. However, the Mysuru team was back to the winning ways in Junior Girls Category as they defeated Mandya who had to be satisfied with the second place.
The result in the Senior Girls Category was no different as the Mysuru girls scored over Mandya girls who were placed second with the Mysuru team bagging the first place.
In the morning Samruddi Yuva Vedike President Suresh inaugurated the championship. Cycle Polo Association President Arun Patil and others were present.
