Mysuru third cleanest city: ‘Pada Puja’ to Pourakarmikas

Mysore/Mysuru: With Mysuru city ranked as the third cleanest city among ‘Super Swachh League Cities’ in the latest Swachh Survekshan Survey, former Corporator M.V. Ramprasad felicitated the Pourakarmikas of Ward No. 55 at Tagadur Ramachandra Rao Park in Chamundipuram here yesterday. He also performed Pada Puja and Aarti to the sanitation workers.

Addressing the gathering, Ramprasad said that, it is indeed a matter of joy as it boosts tourism potential of the city. Special thanks to the Pourakarmikas who worked day and night, along with the general public, media and various organisations and associations. Let us wish that, Mysuru city secures first rank in the next survey. The cleanliness is not just the task of City Corporation alone, but also the participation of the public and organisations and associations assume significance.

He stressed on strengthening the Control Room at MCC, apart from deploying modern machineries and manpower. Moreover, the officials should think innovative and incorporate better ideas into practice.
