TfN(Tour of Nilgiris) has sponsored two free entries (worth Rs.50,000 each) for its 11th edition and the same has been given to the upcoming riders from Mysuru — K.V. Vyshak and Vinay.
K.V. Vyshak, a promising young cyclist from Mysuru, has won two gold medals at the recently concluded National Mountain Biking Championship at Pune. A student of JSS Polytechnic, Mysuru, the 18-year-old participated in ‘Junior-Men’ category in the National Championship and won gold medals in both ‘Individual Time Trial’ and ‘Massed Start’ events.
With these achievements, he becomes the only cyclist from Mysuru to qualify this year for the National Cycling Competition that will be held at Kurukshetra.
Vyshak, son of Vijaykumar and Lalitha from Yelwal, Mysuru, trains under Ekalavyya awardee N. Lokesh in Mysuru.
Vinay, a student at CPC Polytechnic, is the son of Ramakrishna Nayaka and Anusya from J.P. Nagar, Mysuru. The 19-year-old is a State Champion in MTB, National participant and finished 5th in the recently concluded BBCh Nandi Road Race in the Elite category.
