N.M. Mahadevaiah (69), retired officer of the Department of Archaeology, Heritage and Museums and a resident of Maratikyathanahalli in the taluk, passed away following a heart attack on Friday.
He is survived by his wife Gayathri, daughter Srilakshmi, son Tilak Kumar Gowda and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites will be held today at Nerale Village in Nanjangud taluk after his son arrives from the USA, according to family sources.
