Mysuru: A Peer team of NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) was on a two-day visit to St. Philomena’s College on July 24 and 25, to collect information for assessing the college in its third cycle.
The Peer team was led by Chairperson Prof. Kusum Kumari, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Anta Koti Gaya, Bihar, Member Coordinator Prof. Kusum Arunachalam, School of Environment and Natural Resources, Doon University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand and Member Prof. E.P. Imbichikoya, Principal, Farook College (Autonomous), Kozhikode, Kerala.
The Peer team visited all the Departments in the College during their two-day visit and gathered information. They saw the botanical garden and rainwater harvesting in the College premises.
They also visited the students’ hostel, library and PG Centre and gathered details about the students’ strength, besides discussing with the various Heads of the Departments about the faculty and the students.
Rector Rev. Dr. Bernard Prakash Barnis, Vice-Rector Rev. Fr. Maria Xavier, Campus Administrator Rev. Fr. Roxan Thomas Baros, Principal Dr. T. Ruth Shantha Kumari, Coordinator Prof. Shobana Thomas and Director of PG Centre Prof. Othbert Pinto were present during the NAAC Team’s visit.
