Mysore/Mysuru: Nadavidyalaya – Academy of Music and Dance, Hebbal, Mysuru, will present its 17th annual celebration of music and dance, a two-day cultural festival ‘Nada Nrityopasana’ in city on Sept. 28 and 29 at different venues.
Academy’s Karnatak vocal and Bharatanatyam students, in all 180 budding talents, will take part in the two-day programme under the guidance and direction of Guru Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar and Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen.
On Sept. 28 at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city at 5 pm:
Karnatak Classical vocal programme will be presented by Sub-Junior, Junior, Senior and Vidwat students of the Academy. Vid. Chetan on violin, Vid. Subramanya Kumar on mridanga, Guru Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar on keyboard and Yeashas N. Kashyap on flute will accompany the artistes.
Programme Direction: Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar. Vidu. R. Meghana and Vidu. Sahana Patil will be the Master of Ceremonies (MC).
On Sept. 29 at Jaganmohan Palace at 5.30 pm:
Bharatanatyam Margam will be presented by Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior students which will continue with a dance-drama ‘Saptha Tandava’ by Vidwat students.
Sanskrit Professor, Philosopher and Researcher Dr. H.V. Nagaraj Rao and Kannada & Culture Department Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan will be the guests of honour.
Artiste and Writer Vidu. Aparna Kodankiri, who has written ‘Bhagavad Gita’ in Tulu Script, will be felicitated on the occasion.
Programme direction and Natuvangam: Guru Vidu. Mithra Naveen. Vid. Naveen M.S. Andagar (vocal), Vid. G.S. Nagaraj (mridanga), Vid. Nithish Ammannaya (flute) and Vid. Arun (rhythm pad) will accompany the dancers.
