Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Basaveshwara Samskrutika Pratishtana will be celebrating the 140th birth anniversary of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar on June 13 at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city at 12 noon.
The Pratishtana will be also be honouring five achievers in various fields — Dr. P. Shantharaje Urs, D. Shivaiah, Dr. Leela Prakash, Dr. B.P. Murthy and M.B. Shivakumar — with Nalwadi Krishnaraj Wadiyar Award on the occasion.
The event will be inaugurated by Senior BJP leader Gurupadaswamy. Ursu Jagruthi Academy Charitable Trust Hon. Secretary Dr. M.G.R. Urs will preside. Social worker Dr. K. Raghuram Vajpayee will offer tributes to the portrait of Nalwadi. Sri Nataraja Pratishtana Special Officer Dr. S. Shivarajappa will deliver the keynote address.
Writer Bannur K. Raju, C.L. Sharmila of Jaganmathe Akkamahadevi Mahila Souharda Sangha will be the chief guests at the celebrations.
