Nanjangud-Mysuru Road crying for attention

Sir,

The controversial Nanjangud-Mysuru Road has been the cause for many accidents from many years, and after the new lane has been formed, we were all hoping the accidents would reduce. On the contrary, the accidents have increased and even the fatality rate has practically doubled. The vehicles now traverse at ungodly speeds and due to lack of proper spacing and guidance, from pedestrians to lorries, nobody is spared.

One major location of such accidents is the death curve between Dunford Fabrics old building and the beginning of the bridge while entering Nanjangud.

This blind curve has seen many accidents, increased lately due to the surge in holiday traffic. The curve ends in a pit which is almost 50 feet deep and many vehicles have gone down straight into the pit.

I request the authorities to at least put a signboard making sure the ones who drive can be cautioned about this curve, since requesting for relaying the road would be a far off thought and the delay would make some more people suffer.
