Mysore/Mysuru: The famed Srikanteshwaraswamy temple of Nanjangud town has recorded a hundi (offerings box) collection of Rs. 1.77 crore from May 30 to June 11.
The money, 65.5 gram gold, 3.540 kg silver items and 64 foreign currencies were collected in 34 hundis of the temple.
The staff of Canara Bank, Muzrai Department and 100 women from self-help groups counted the money at the Dasoha Bhavan of the temple on Wednesday.
Temple Executive Officer Jagadish Kumar, Accountant Gurumallaiah and Bank Manager Lakshmi supervised the process.
