Mysuru: The Department of Studies in Social Work, University of Mysore (UoM), has organised a two-day National Conference on ‘Issues of Social Development – A Social Work Response,’ at Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Auditorium, Senate Bhavan, Manasagangothri on Feb. 16.
The inaugural function will be held on Feb. 16 at 10 am which will be inaugurated by University of Mysore In-charge Vice-Chancellor Prof. B. Basavaraju.
Professors and Co-ordinators of UGC-UPE-FA-II Dr. N. Usharani and Dr. Muzaffar H. Assadi will be the guests of honour.
Conference Director Dr. Y.S. Siddegowda will deliver the introductory address while Professor and HOD of Social Work, Panjabi University, Patiala, Punjab Prof. D.P. Singh will deliver the keynote address.
Chairman of DOS in Social Work, University of Mysore Dr.R. Shivappa will preside.
The valedictory of the two-day National Conference will be held on Feb. 17 between 4pm and 5 pm at the same venue.
University of Mysore Registrar D. Bharathi will be the chief guest. Professor and HOD of Social Work, Viswa-Bharati University, West Bengal Dr. Prashanta Kumar Ghosh will deliver the Valedictory address while Chairman of DOS in Social Work, UoM Dr. R. Shivappa will deliver the Presidential address. Conference Director Dr. Y.S. Siddegowda will propose vote of thanks.
