Mysuru/Mysore: The Department of History and Humanities, Teresian College, in association with the Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, Mysuru, has organised a National Conference on ‘History and Social Sciences in the Contemporary Global Scenario’ at Ave Maria Golden Jubilee auditorium in the College premises at Siddarthanagar on Jan.23 and 24.
University of Mysore Registrar Prof. R. Shivappa will inaugurate the Conference at 10 am tomorrow. Centre for Historical Studies Assistant Professor Dr. Burton Cleetus will deliver the keynote address. Karnataka Province Provincial Dr. Sr. Juanita will preside. Archaeology Department Commissioner T. Venkatesh, former VCs Prof. B. Sheik Ali, Dr. Padma Shekar and Dr. KKN Kurup and Karnataka Folklore University-Dharwad Registrar-Evaluation Dr. M.N. Venkatesh will be the guests of honour.
The valedictory will be held at Jan.24 at 4 pm after panel discussion and paper presentations.
Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) VC Dr. S. Vidyashankar will deliver the valedictory address. University of Mysore Dy. Registrar Dr. M.P. Sadashiva will be the special guest.
Teresian Institutions Manager Sr. Gladies Castelino, Teresian College Director Dr. Sr. Sajitha and Principal Dr. Veena M. D’Almeda will be present.
