Mysuru: The Department of Studies in Sericulture Science, University of Mysore, has organised a three-day National Conference on ‘Seri-Biomics: Challenges, Innovations and Solutions’ starting from tomorrow at Rani Bahadur Auditorium, Manasangothri from 10 am.
The programme will be inaugurated by Sericulture and Animal Husbandry Minister A. Manju. Chairman of Central Silk Board K.M. Hanumantharayappa, University of Mysore Registrar D. Bharathi and former VC of University of Horticulture Sciences, Bagalkot, Dr. S.B. Dandin will be the chief guests.
Chairman, DoS in Sericulture Science, University of Mysore Prof. H.B. Manjunatha, is the organising Secretary.
University of Mysore In-charge VC Prof. C. Basavaraju will preside.
The valedictory of the three-day Conference will be held at the Department of Sericulture, Manasagangothri on Feb. 17 at 4 pm.
Member-Secretary of Central Silk Board Rajit Ranjan Okhandiar and Commissioner for Sericulture Development and Director of Sericulture, Department of Sericulture, Govt. of Karnataka K.S. Manjunath will be the chief guests. University of Mysore Finance Officer Prof. B. Mahadevappa will preside.
