Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) in association with Vidhyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) celebrated National Energy Conservation Week recently. Over 150 students attended the programme, which featured talk on energy conservation by resource persons.
A quiz competition related to energy conservation was held on this occasion and solar lanterns were distributed to 8 winners.
D.K. Dinesh Kumar, Technical Officer, Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited, explained the importance and usage of Renewable Energy without causing any harm to nature. He also stressed the need for spreading environmental awareness and encouraging the citizens to maximise the usage of energy saving LED Bulbs, LED Tubes and 5 star rated electrical domestic appliances.
VVCE Principal Dr. B. Sadhashive Gowda, Mechanical Engineering Dept. Head Dr. Naveen Prakash and Dr. S.A. Mohan Krishna were present.
