National Karate Championship from tomorrow

Okinawa Karate-Do Shorin Ryu Shorin Kai India will be organising two-day 19th Shorin Kai National Karate Championship-2019 at University of Mysore Gymnastics Hall, Sports Pavilion from tomorrow.

The tournament will be inaugurated by Kautilya Vidyalaya Principal Dr. L. Savitha. Department of Physical Education, University of Mysore, In-charge Director Dr. P. Krishnaiah will be preside. De Paul International Residential School Principal Rev. Fr. Johnson Jacob will inaugurate Kumite bout and Corporator Savitha Suresh will inaugurate the Kata bout.

A total of 915 karatekas from various States including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and from different parts of Karnataka such as Mysuru, Bengaluru, Hassan, Sakaleshpura, Holenarasipura, Arakalagud, Nanjangud, Chamarajanagar, Periyapatna, Kollegal, K.R. Nagar, Chinakurali, Kushalnagar, Gonikoppal and H.D. Kote will take part in tournament to be conducted in different belt categories based on their age. The Tournament is organised by Kysoshi S. Sunil Kumar, 7th Dan Black Belt and South Asian representative of Shorinryu Shorin Kai.
