Mysuru’s veteran Table Tennis player K.V. Krishnamurthy, representing Karnataka in the National Masters Table Tennis Tournament in Indore from Feb.12 to 17, won the 80+ Men’s Singles title.
In the 80+ Men’s Singles event, K.V. Krishnamurthy beat Karnataka’s K. Sathyanarayana 5-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-6 in the final to clinch the title.
K.V. Krishnamurthy completed a fine double by also clinching the Men’s 80+ Doubles title. In the final, Krishnamurthy, teaming up with K. Sathyanarayana, beat A.N. Bharghava and Satish Puri (UP) 11-4, 11-7, 11-5.
In the Men’s 75+ Singles, Dr. Sainath Iyer from Mysuru lost in the final to H. Oberoi 9-11, 11-9, 7-11, 8-11 and finished runner-up.
