Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Studies (DoS) in Jainology and Prakrit, University of Mysore (UoM), Mysuru, in association with Bahubali Prakrit Vidyapeeth, National Institute of Prakrit Studies and Research, Shravanabelagola, has jointly organised National Prakrit Literary Seminar at the Library Hall, Sri Dhavala Theertham in Shravanabelagola, tomorrow (Nov. 9) between 3 pm and 5 pm.
Sri Charukeerthi Bhattaraka Swamiji, Founder, Bahubali Prakrit Vidyapeeth, will grace the occasion. Prof. Srinivasa Varakhedi, Vice-Chancellor (VC), Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, will preside. Prof. G. Hematha Kumar, VC, UoM, Mysuru, will be the chief guest.
Nadoja Prof. Hampa Nagarajaiah, International Scholar, Bengaluru and Prof. Mallepuram G. Venkatesh, retd. VC, Sanskrit University, Bengaluru, will be the guests. Nadoja Prof. Kamala Hampana, senior scholar, Bengaluru, will deliver a lecture on the occasion. Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao, Sanskrit Scholar, Mysuru, will be the special guest.
Prof. Jayakumara Upadhye, Director, Bahubali Prakrit Vidyapeeth, Shravanabelagola, will deliver the keynote address and welcome the gathering. Prof. Vijayakumari S. Karikal, Chairman, DoS in Jainology and Prakrit, UoM, Mysuru, will propose a vote of thanks.
