The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Women Welfare Committee of Maharani’s Arts, Commerce and Management College for Women will be conducting a National Seminar on the topic ‘Gender Sensitivity, Equality and Opportunities’ at the College premises located on Valmiki Road, Vinayakanagar (Paduvarahalli), at 9.30 am on Feb. 27. Announcing this at a press meet here recently, College Principal Prof. G.H. Mahadevaswamy said that MLA L. Nagendra will inaugurate the Seminar and Joint Director of Collegiate Education Prof. R. Mugeshappa will be the chief guest. Writers Sowmya Kumar, Kavitha Mishra and Prof. Margaret Mary will speak on the topic ‘Women Entrepreneurship in India,’ while Prof.Krishnamurthy, S. Narendraprasad, S. Ramesh and Prof. P. Shivappa will speak on the topic ‘The changing roles of men and women.’ Seminar Director Prof. Somanna, Organising Secretary B. Ravishankar and IQAC Co-ordinator S. Manu will be present during the Seminar, he said.
